Written by Neil Simon

Directed by Jason Ingram Roth

Rumors is a fast-paced, character-driven mystery farce by famous Broadway writer, Neil Simon. It is centered around a high-society dinner party. The convoluted plot involves four couples who gather to celebrate the 10th wedding anniversary of their best friends, only to discover Myra is missing and Charley with a bullet hole in his ear, apparently from a suicide attempt. Also, the domestic help is gone and there’s no sign of dinner. Each couple arriving at the party is kept in the dark about the situation by those who had arrived previously, until the evening becomes a desperately funny study of miscommunication, as false and complicated explanations are given and the rumours start to escalate.
