About Us

Welcome to Front Row community theatre’s website.

Here we hope to give you useful information about our shows but more importantly encourage you to become involved.

We are a volunteer organization with the following objectives:
(1) To promote community interest in live theatre and provide theatre experiences for diverse groups
(2) To provide entertainment for the general public
(3) To promote Australian playwrights wherever possible
(4) To provide social facilities/activities for members
(5) To provide training in theatre skills and techniques

Our aim is to mount 3 productions each year using Hamilton Town Hall as our home base.

We welcome new volunteers, whether experienced or novice. While many people think instantly of being on stage – and we do run open auditions wherever possible – there is always room for extra hands to design or construct sets or costumes, operate lights, crew a show or staff front of house. The good part is, if you volunteer with us, your commitment can be as extensive or as restricted as you choose.

We are also keen to support other community organisations so if you have a fund raising idea you think we can help you with, please make contact and we’ll see what we can do!
